Realify Australia Pty Limited ("Realify", "we", "us") operates the Realify platform at realify.com.au. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. What We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to operate the platform:

3. What We Don't Collect
- Government-issued identification
- Bank or financial account details
- Full residential addresses (suburb-level only)
- Browsing behaviour or tracking cookies for advertising
4. How We Use Your Data
- Authentication: To verify your identity and secure your account
- Listings: To display your property requirements publicly
- AI Processing: Your listing descriptions are sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate summaries. We do not send your email, phone, or account details to AI providers.
- Notifications: To send contact form confirmations and account-related emails via Resend
- Safety: To screen listings for scam indicators and enforce rate limits

6. Public Content
Listing content (descriptions, AI summaries, photos, suburb, property details) is published publicly and may be indexed by search engines and AI assistants. This is a core feature of the platform. Your email address and phone number are never displayed publicly unless you explicitly opt in via contact method settings.
7. Photo Metadata
All uploaded photos are stripped of EXIF metadata (including GPS coordinates) and compressed before storage. This prevents accidental disclosure of precise property locations.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal information
- Correct inaccurate information via your account settings
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your data (contact us)
- Complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe we have breached the APPs
9. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), secure password hashing, and row-level database security policies. However, no system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
Realify is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users via email. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
